Volleyball Recap: Pine View Takes a Loss

Pine View came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Desert Hills Thunder. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

While Pine View was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

Pine View has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Desert Hills, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pine View will square off against rival Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Desert Hills is set to take on their familiar foe Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
