            Flag Football Recap: Freedom Falcons vs. Dublin Gaels        
        
		
        
        
            Freedom was the  31-6 winner over Dublin when they last played one another  back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons lost  26-6 to the Gaels on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 431st, while the Gaels are ranked 198th).
 Katelyn Slagle threw for 94 yards and one  touchdown.   Destiny Murphy was her top target, picking up 133 receiving yards and one  TD.  On the ground,  La'Riyah Peterson rushed for 56 yards on only seven carries.
This is the second loss in a row for Freedom and  nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Dublin, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record  this season.
 Freedom didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  7-0  win against Deer Valley on the 24th. As for Dublin, they have also already played their next game,  an  18-2  loss against Amador Valley on the 23rd.
