Wise is a perfect 8-0 against Suitland since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pumas will be playing at home against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Suitland will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Wise extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Pumas breezed past Potomac to the tune of 35-0. 35 seems to be a good number for the Pumas as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Wise's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kameron Parker, who rushed for 102 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. Eric Wedge Iii was another key signal caller, throwing for 182 yards and a pair of TDs.
Meanwhile, Suitland got themselves on the board against DuVal on Friday, but DuVal never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 47-0. The Rams pushed the score to 40-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had no chance of recovering from.
Wise better keep an eye on Jayden Lee. He was instrumental in Suitland's win, rushing for 187 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. With that strong performance, Lee is now averaging an impressive 108.2 rushing yards per game. Another signal caller making a difference was Anthony Boyd Jr., who threw for 107 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Suitland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 270 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
Suitland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sai'Quan Olfus and Ahmad Thomas. Olfus is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made eight or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Thomas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Suitland's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Wise, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Everything came up roses for Wise against Suitland in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, as the squad secured a 42-8 win. In that game, the Pumas amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
