Miami hadn't done well against Pima recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Vandals came out on top against the Roughriders by a score of 6-1. The win was familiar territory for the Vandals, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Miami's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Pima, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Miami didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-2 win against Leading Edge Academy - GEC on the 12th. As for Pima, they will head out to take on Benson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Roughriders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
