Basketball Recap: John Glenn Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

John Glenn extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Brayden Davis. The John Glenn Little Muskies breezed by the River View Black Bears to the tune of 90-58 on Tuesday thanks in part to Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine boards. Those 29 points gave him a new career-high.

Cj Dolan was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why River View lost, don't look at Layton Massie. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 16 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. Massie continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Wyatt Stanton also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

John Glenn's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for River View, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

John Glenn will head out to face off against Morgan at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in John Glenn's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for River View, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Philo at 7:30 p.m. River View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season.
