Basketball Game Preview: Modoc Braves vs. Trinity Wolves

The Modoc Braves will venture away from home to square off against the Trinity Wolves at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Modoc is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Modoc came up short against Mt. Shasta and fell 63-56.

Modoc might have lost, but man, Chris Guasp was a machine: he went 8 of 16 on his way to 26 points. The dominant performance gave Guasp a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Gallardo, who went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, Trinity didn't have enough. They fell just short of Fall River by a score of 59-57 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Modoc, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Modoc came up short against Trinity when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 59-46. Can Modoc avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
