Volleyball Recap: Athens Drive Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Athens Drive lost against Garner back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Jaguars fell 3-1 to the Trojans. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 24-26, 25-11, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why Athens Drive lost, don't look at Holden Carroll. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and one assist. Carroll has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last six times she's played. Annie Baublitz was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

Athens Drive now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Garner, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens Drive will host Fuquay - Varina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garner, they will take on Harnett Central in a tournament on Thursday.
