Softball Recap: Cross Comes Up Short

Cross entered their contest against Dorchester Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Stingrays came up short against the Raiders, falling 13-1. The game marked the Stingrays' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Cross saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Mayers, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Cross' loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Dorchester Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coming up, Cross is taking a road trip to challenge John Paul II at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dorchester Academy, they will welcome Northwood Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
