While Church Point put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Northside Christian. Church Point put the hurt on Northside Christian with a sharp 11-0 victory. Considering the Bears have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Caiden B made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. B was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Church Point got a massive performance out of Ethan Little, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Little has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Waylon Castille, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Church Point's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Northside Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Church Point will welcome Northwest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northside Christian, they will take on V.B. Glencoe Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
