Basketball Game Preview: Ada Bulldogs vs. Columbus Grove Bulldogs

Ada is 0-8 against Columbus Grove since December of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.

On Tuesday, Ada came up short against North Baltimore and fell 45-37. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Columbus Grove entered their tilt with Bluffton on Thursday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Pirates 58-30. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Pirates are ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbus Grove pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points over those games. As for Ada, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.

Ada was dealt a bruising 63-22 loss at the hands of Columbus Grove when the teams last played back in December of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ada was down 36-15.
