Softball Recap: Hooks Drops Season-High Score on Grand Saline

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hooks). They were the clear victors by a 26-11 margin over the Grand Saline Indians on Friday. Considering the Hornets have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hooks is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Grand Saline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-11-1.

Coming up, Hooks will face off against S & S Consolidated on Saturday. The Rams will roll in looking for their 22nd straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight. Grand Saline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
