Volleyball Recap: Cyprus Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cyprus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Lehi Pioneers.

Cyprus took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-7, 25-18.

Lehi got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Paige Wakumoto out in front who had 12 digs and three aces. Wakumoto is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aftyn Hurst, who had six aces and one assist.

Cyprus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lehi, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Cyprus will challenge Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lehi, they will face off against Farmington at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
