Volleyball Recap: Wasatch Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Wasatch's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cedar Valley Aviators by a score of 3-1. The Wasps haven't had any issues with the Aviators recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21.

JJ Serre paced Wasatch's offense, picking up 16 kills. Serre got some help from Brody Hulme and his 32 assists. Serre also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Everett Saunders, racking up three apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar Valley lost, don't look at Kahana Franco. Despite the final result, he had 14 digs and four assists. Franco is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Wasatch pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Cedar Valley, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9.

Wasatch has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Mountain Ridge on the 11th. As for Cedar Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Maple Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
