Basketball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Loara Saxons

Having just played yesterday, the Orange Panthers will jump right back in to play the Loara Saxons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Orange turned things around against Santa Ana Valley on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with a 51-26 victory. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Orange found their leader in sophomore Alexander Villa, who posted 27 points. Those 27 points gave Villa a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mark Hernandez-Chino, who had 12 points.

Meanwhile, Loara came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They escaped with a win on Friday against Orange by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51.

Orange's win bumped their record up to 4-24. As for Loara, their victory bumped their record up to 6-17.

Orange and Loara were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting on Friday, but Orange came up empty-handed after a 52-51 loss. Can Orange avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
