 Burlington scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. They came out on top against the Sedgwick County Cougars by a score of  18-13. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Burlington considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
  Lenny Ramirez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  5.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   four  hits. Ramirez has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Ramirez was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news, Burlington let  Scout Humrich and  Erik Cano loose on the outfield. Humrich  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-4, while  Cano  scored three  runs and  stole two bases. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zack Foose, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Like Burlington, Sedgwick County also got a great game from a two-way player:  Tate Renquist. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Renquist was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Brady Mollendor was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-5 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Lincoln Peterson, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Sedgwick County  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 Burlington is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last nine games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record  this season. As for Sedgwick County, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last 12 contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record  this season.
