Samuel Alonso put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Wednesday. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
