Softball Recap: Fairview Triumphs

Fairview's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Cleveland Panthers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 13-3 win last Saturday.

Kylie Kovar was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Emily Benson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Fairview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Fairview's record is now 4-6. As for Cleveland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Fairview and Cleveland will both be playing Cold Springs the next time they take the field. Cleveland will host Cold Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Fairview will head out to face them at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
