Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Saint James). They blew past the Potomac School Panthers 59-21  on Saturday. Given the Saints' advantage  in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 43rd in Maryland, while the Panthers are ranked 148th in Virginia) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saint James to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Joshua Davies, who rushed for 160 yards and two  touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those  160  rushing yards gave  Davies a new career-high.  Jayden Yates was another key player, rushing for 59 yards and a pair of  scores on only seven carries.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Saint James was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 318  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Saint James didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  William Taffe and  Keenen Braylock.
 Although Potomac School took the loss, they still got scores from  Akim Iscandari,  Brendan Sutherland,  and  Gus Tierney.
Saint James' win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-2. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 40.2 points over those games. As for Potomac School, their  defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  matchups. Saint James will face off against Flint Hill at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Saints will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.75  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Potomac School, they will take on Maret at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Frogs have now posted at least 31  points  in their last four games.
