League recap: Engle races to league-leading run for Hayden

A-8 East - Central (8 Man) recap September 4, 2013

Dan Engle of Hayden ran for the longest rushing play in A-8 East - Central (8 Man) this season against Belleview Christian last week. Engle's team defeated the Bruins as he sprinted for 84 yards on the play and finished with 156 in all.

Soroco took down Gilpin County 60-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Rangely's dynamic duo of Kelton Elam and Cameron Enterline proved to be unstoppable against Dove Creek, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Elam threw for 61 yards and Enterline had 42 yards receiving. Kaulan Brady helped Rangely's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 26 yards.

The Panthers' dynamic duo of Elam and Enterline proved tough for the Bulldogs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Enterline was the best receiver in the league this week as Rangely lost to Dove Creek.

Elam put up the best numbers in passing as Paul Fortunato's team lost to Shane Baughman's team.

Brady was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Panthers lost to the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-0 sophomore.

Engle was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Jack Redmond added to the ground attack by rushing for 64 yards.

Engle was a passing and rushing force as Hayden topped Belleview Christian. Engle's key target this week was Tanner Guire, who caught 2 passes for 46 yards.

Rangely's 5-foot-9 quarterback Elam is the league leader in passing yards this season with 61. The leading receiver in the league this season is Guire. The Hayden star has 2 catches for 46 yards.

The Rams led A-8 East - Central (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 60 points on the Eagles.
