Soccer Game Preview: Cupertino vs. Santa Cruz

The Cupertino Pioneers will be taking part in a tournament against the Santa Cruz Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cupertino's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, Cupertino came up short against Los Gatos and fell 3-1.

Cupertino's goal came courtesy of Sam Salemi, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Santa Cruz was not quite Crystal Springs Uplands' equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Gryphons by a score of 2-1.

Cupertino's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Santa Cruz, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
