Basketball Recap: Baptist Hill Takes a Loss

Baptist Hill was the 63-55 winner over Military Magnet Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Baptist Hill Bobcats fell 65-55 to the Military Magnet Academy Eagles on Tuesday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Baptist Hill lost, don't look at Martrell Wright. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 17 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Wright has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kyi?Lann Gordon, who posted six points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Baptist Hill's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Military Magnet Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-11.

Baptist Hill will face off against Scott's Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Military Magnet Academy, they and Lowcountry Leadership will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Military Magnet Academy is facing Lowcountry Leadership at the right time seeing as Lowcountry Leadership is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
