Basketball Recap: King's Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

King's Academy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Christian Home Educators Knights 34-31. The victory was some much needed relief for King's Academy as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Christian Home Educators lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sadie Tucker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Grace Caldwell was another key player, putting up four points and seven steals.

King's Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Christian Home Educators, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

King's Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Athens Christian Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Christian Home Educators, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 44-38 win against Varsity Opponent on the 20th.
