Basketball Recap: Felton Grove Comes Up Short

Felton Grove played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Willow Spring Storm 79-36. The Galaxy were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-13.

Several Galaxy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Bullard, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Medford, who scored 11 points and five boards.

Leading Willow Spring to victory were Ryder Randolph and Dillon Robinson. Randolph went 8-for-10 en route to 19 points and six rebounds, while Robinson shot 78% from the field on his way to 15 points and three steals. Those 15 points gave Robinson a new career-high. Finley Stephenson was another key player, shooting 88% from the field to rack up 15 points.

Felton Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Felton Grove will head out to face off against South Garner at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Willow Spring, they will host Fuquay - Varina at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
