Softball Recap: Constitution Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Constitution can now relate to. They fell 16-11 to the Science Leadership Academy Rockets on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in April.

Alexis Nguyen and Gabrielle Geathers stepped up to the plate in a big way. Nguyen went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one run, while Geathers went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Alexandra Hoekzema, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Constitution's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Science Leadership Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Constitution nor Science Leadership Academy have any future games scheduled.
