            Softball Recap: Flinthills Mustangs vs. Oxford Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Flinthills extended their losing streak  to four  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 2-4 in the process. They fell  24-21 to the Oxford Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  15-6  on Thursday.
 Flinthills got a  massive  performance out of  Emily Scribner, who  went 2-for-6 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI.  Danika Haigler also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hits of the season.
As for Oxford, they pushed their record up to 4-6 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 On Oxford's side,  Katelyn Gillenwater was  incredible,  getting on base  in all six of her plate appearances with five  RBI, three  runs,  and three  doubles. Those  three  doubles gave  Gillenwater a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Taleah Morris, who  went 2-for-6 with three  runs and two  RBI.
 Coming up, Flinthills will welcome South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven]  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Outlaws have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last seven matchups. As for Oxford, they will face off against Sedan at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Wildcats are facing the Devils at the right time seeing as the Devils are stuck on  a  13-game losing streak.
