Ballantyne Ridge is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Myers Park on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Ballantyne Ridge took a blow against Myers Park, falling 60-10. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-4.

Meanwhile, Central hadn't done well against York Prep recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Central walked away with a 31-22 win over York Prep. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Ballantyne Ridge took their win against Central when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 42-16. Will Ballantyne Ridge repeat their success, or does Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
