Recap: Plainview Indians vs. Kingston Redskins
In what's become a running theme this season, the Plainview Indians gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 51-23 victory over Kingston on the road. The victory was nothing new for Plainview as they're now sitting on three straight.
Plainview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacelyn Hammon, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and six steals. Hammon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marya Southerland, who scored 17 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Plainview pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Kingston, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainview will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Kingston, they will square off against the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lone Grove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Redskins are ranked 50th).
