Football Game Preview: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Palisade Bulldogs + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Milo Pascual and Dylon Larson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Roosevelt Roughriders will head out to challenge the Palisade Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.

Roosevelt is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 47-0 victory over Pueblo County. The Roughriders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 35 points or more this season.

Ryder Tymkowych went supernova, rushing for 86 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Aiden Robinson was in the mix too, providing Roosevelt with one TD.

Meanwhile, Palisade gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past Timnath 27-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since August 30, 2024.

Palisade's win came from a few key players Roosevelt will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cade Carter, who rushed for 121 yards. Those 121 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Palisade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Roosevelt's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games. As for Palisade, their record now sits at 9-2.

Everything came up roses for Roosevelt against Palisade in their previous matchup back in August of 2023, as the team secured a 49-6 victory. In that contest, the Roughriders amassed a halftime lead of 42-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
