Football Recap: Banks County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Banks County had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 37-3 loss at the hands of the Commerce Tigers. The Leopards were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Banks County still got an impressive performance from Dayden Rogers, who rushed for 230 yards and two TDs while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. Those rushing touchdowns were Rogers' first of the season.

Commerce's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jace Lyle had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 184 yards on only 15 carries. Those 184 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Banks County will challenge Oglethorpe County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Leopards surely won't give up without a fight. As for Commerce, they will face off against Providence Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Storm's rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.89 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
