Basketball Game Preview: Marlington Dukes vs. Louisville Leopards

Marlington and Louisville are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Marlington Dukes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Louisville Leopards at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Marlington is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 63 points on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Canton South on Saturday. They took a 33-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The matchup marked the Dukes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Louisville suffered their biggest defeat since January 10th on Wednesday. They came up short against Canfield, falling 60-40. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Cardinals are ranked 38th).

Marlington moved to 3-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Louisville, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Marlington skirted past Louisville 51-49 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Marlington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Louisville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
