Football Recap: West Broward Piles Up the Points Against South Plantation

It's playoff time, and West Broward had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the South Plantation Paladins 56-13 on Friday. The Bobcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

One reason for the win was West Broward's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Saban McCloud was the leader with two.

Despite the loss, South Plantation still got an impressive performance from Kamary Cooper, who rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Cooper's longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. South Plantation also got help from Dylan Zaldumbide, who showed off his sure hands for 102 receiving yards.

West Broward's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.6 points over those games. As for South Plantation, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Coming up, West Broward will face off against Monarch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Brandin Mincy and Florentino Lopez. South Plantation does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
