Volleyball Recap: Florence Starts Season with Win at Home

Florence took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Marinette Marines by a score of 2-0. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Marines recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Florence was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-8.

Florence can attribute much of their success to Naomi Millan, who had seven aces and one assist.

Millan wasn't the only good server: Florence was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Florence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Peshtigo on the 26th. As for Marinette, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Green Bay Southwest on the 26th.
