Basketball Game Preview: Grace Academy Knights vs. Faith Christian Academy Falcons

The Grace Academy Knights will face off against the Faith Christian Academy Falcons at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Academy will be strutting in after a win while Faith Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Grace Academy turned things around against Calvary Christian Academy on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Calvary Christian Academy 43-40. The 43-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against GVCS Broadfording, falling 72-45. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Grace Academy will need focus on slowing down Mason Altier, one of several Faith Christian Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 11 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Thompson, who had eight points and eight boards.

Grace Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Faith Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
