Baseball Recap: Atlantic Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Atlantic and Lewis Central had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Trojans came up short against the Titans on Monday, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-5 on Monday.

Atlantic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lewis Central, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Atlantic will face off against rival Creston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lewis Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Denison-Schleswig at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 2.9, the Monarchs 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
