Baseball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lawrence

Heritage Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-11 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lawrence Tigers. On the bright side, the 11- run performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Lawrence, they moved to 4-24 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the game before.

For Lawrence's part, the team relied heavily on Payton Camp, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Camp has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-23 otherwise.

Heritage Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lawrence, they will face off against Gobles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
