Baseball Game Preview: Raton Tigers vs. West Las Vegas Dons

For the second straight game, Raton will face off against West Las Vegas. Raton will be taking part in a tournament against West Las Vegas at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Raton has given up an average of 14.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Raton came up short against West Las Vegas on Tuesday, falling 18-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Dons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Chase Middlebrook was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Cameron Mascarenas also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for West Las Vegas and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Raton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
