Softball Recap: Conner Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Conner challenged George Rogers Clark on Saturday. Conner lost 19-2 to George Rogers Clark. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Riley Roseburrough was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. That hit was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kayla Ortiz, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Conner now has a losing record of 2-3. As for George Rogers Clark, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Conner will head out on the road to challenge Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for George Rogers Clark, they will take on Bryan Station at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bryan Station will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something George Rogers Clark surely won't give up without a fight.
