Baseball Game Preview: Klamath Union Pelicans vs. Cottage Grove Lions

For the second straight game, Klamath Union will face off against Cottage Grove. The Pelicans will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Klamath Union has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Klamath Union is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cottage Grove. Surprisingly, this marked the Pelicans' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

For Cottage Grove's part, Nolan Spear was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Spear has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Eubanks, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Klamath Union's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Cottage Grove, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14-1.
