Basketball Recap: Carter Baker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Palm Grove Christian over Ruskin Christian

Palm Grove Christian lost against Ruskin Christian last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Palm Grove Christian Gators lost 72-46 to the Ruskin Christian Warriors. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carter Baker, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Baker a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Pitts, who posted 14 points and five steals.

Palm Grove Christian now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Ruskin Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Palm Grove Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-40 defeat against Grace Christian on the 3rd. Ruskin Christian has also already played their next contest, a 66-42 victory against Central Baptist Christian on the 31st.
