Basketball Recap: Thunderbird Comes Up Short

Thunderbird suffered their closest defeat since December 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Moon Valley Rockets by a score of 58-56. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 48-35.

Jordan Sepulveda was a one-man wrecking crew for Moon Valley as he dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds gave Sepulveda a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadan Curry, who posted nine points and eight boards.

Thunderbird's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Moon Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-16.

Thunderbird has already played their next matchup, a 40-39 win against Goldwater on the 30th. As for Moon Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-48 defeat against Paradise Honors on the 30th.
