Recap: Kankakee Trinity Academy vs. Mooseheart Red Ramblers
Kankakee Trinity Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Mooseheart 83-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Kankakee Trinity Academy had a senior duo take command as Tommy Kujawa scored 35 points along with eight rebounds and two steals and Luke Green went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 8 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kujawa has scored all season. Ethan Schurman was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Kankakee Trinity Academy pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Mooseheart, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kankakee Trinity Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Westlake Christian Academy at 11:30 a.m. on January 20th. Westlake Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while Kankakee Trinity Academy is ranked 313th). Mooseheart's road trip will continue as they head out to face Westminster Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Westminster Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
