Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Christian Takes a Loss

Mansfield Christian was the 3-1 winner over Black River when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Flames came up short against the Pirates on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Mansfield Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-17.

Adelle Cramer paced Mansfield Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cramer got some help from Mia Running and her 19 assists. McKenzie Webb controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Black River had a senior duo take command as Remington Dieter had 18 digs and three aces and Kate Dieter had eight digs and two aces. Remington has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Mansfield Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Black River, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Mansfield Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Tree of Life Christian on the 21st. As for Black River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against First Baptist Christian on the 21st.
