Basketball Recap: Woodruff Takes a Loss

Woodruff lost against Chapman back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Woodruff Wolverines took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chapman Panthers. The matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Woodruff and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for Chapman, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12.

Woodruff won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Union County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season. As for Chapman, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Broome at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Broome also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 56.6 points per game.
