Treyce Lovato was a major factor in La Junta's win over Salida on Friday. Lovato struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts.

Lovato's strong effort led La Junta over Salida and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are 8-1 against the Spartans going back to March of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
