Recap: Broomfield Eagles vs. Poudre Impalas
The Broomfield Eagles posted their biggest win since December 9, 2023 on Friday. They really took it to Poudre for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-46 win on the road. With Broomfield ahead 41-19 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Broomfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joey Cook led the charge by scoring 18 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Andrew Effland, who scored 14 points.
Broomfield's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-4. As for Poudre, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Broomfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Rocky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poudre, they will head out on the road to square off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Brighton is ranked 229th, while Poudre is ranked 224th).
