Baseball Game Preview: Addison Panthers vs. East Jackson Trojans

The Addison Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the East Jackson Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Addison couldn't beat Napoleon on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the seventh inning. The Panthers fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 8-7.

Josh Ray made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. James Randles also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, East Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Napoleon. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since April 4, 2024.

Hunter Vickers was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

East Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Addison, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Everything went Addison's way against East Jackson when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Addison made off with a 7-1 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
