Basketball Recap: Osage Comes Up Short

Osage lost against Macks Creek back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Osage Indians were dealt a 67-33 defeat at the hands of the Macks Creek Pirates. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Macks Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but India Willis led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 steals. Willis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. Addison Ratliff was another key player, going 10 for 15 on her way to 24 points and six rebounds.

Osage's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Macks Creek, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Osage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-28 defeat against Linn on the 7th. As for Macks Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-50 win against St. Elizabeth on the 7th.
