Recap: Maple Valley Lions vs. Kellogg Panthers
The Maple Valley Lions had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 55-48 win over Kellogg. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Maple Valley also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Among those leading the charge was Ayden Wilkes , who scored 22 points. Jake McDonald was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 15 rebounds and 5 assists.
Hugo Martino and Grant McArthur certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Martino scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 5 blocks, while McArthur scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Howland, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Maple Valley's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kellogg, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Maple Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Calhoun Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 29th. As for Kellogg, they will head out on the road to face off against Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
