Basketball Recap: West 50th Street Comes Up Short

West 50th Street lost against Graphics back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The West 50th Street Seahawks were beaten by Graphics 81-51. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 627th, while Graphics are ranked 185th).

West 50th Street is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for Graphics, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

West 50th Street wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-77 defeat against Rustin on the 17th. As for Graphics, they will take on Irving at 4:30 p.m. on January 24th. Graphics knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Irving likes a good challenge.
