Soccer Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit vs. Jefferson

The Arrupe Jesuit Generals are taking a road trip to face off against the Jefferson Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Arrupe Jesuit's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Arrupe Jesuit is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Arvada 4-3. That's two games straight that Arrupe Jesuit have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Jefferson waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bluedevils. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Jefferson were the better team in the second half.

Jefferson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three matches. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything went Arrupe Jesuit's way against Jefferson when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Arrupe Jesuit made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arrupe Jesuit since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
